Small acts of resistance against misogyny, racism, rape culture and other forms of discrimination and abuse help to make the world a safer, better place.
Change is possible and we can bring an end to sexual violence.
“You have to act as if it were possible to radically transform the world. And you have to do it all the time.” - Angela Davis
We work to prevent and ultimately eliminate sexual violence in the future, while today ensuring that survivors of rape and other forms of sexual violence in Moray receive the support they need.
Unfortunately, the need for our support far outweighs the resources we have to provide this at the time survivors reach out to our service. Referrals to our service have increased by nearly 50% in the last year. Our waiting lists have also increased and waiting times can go up to 12 months.
Sexual violence is traumatising and life-changing. Its impacts can often be complex and, without effective support, lifelong. Survivors can’t and shouldn’t have to, wait for specialist support.
We need your help!
- Donations and funds we receive help towards our support of a minimum of 200 survivors over the next year, to help them feel safer, more able to cope, more confident, and to build a life beyond the trauma they have experienced.
- Getting informed about gender-based violence, trauma and intersectional feminism helps to combat harmful myths and stereotypes and helps survivors feel less alone as they feel more understood.
- Volunteering your time and effort by joining our board of trustees helps us to continue the vital work we provide and it’s rewarding to know you are part of a lifeline to survivors of sexual violence and at the forefront of the fight to end sexual violence.
Your support can change lives.
